I just received my new bag and think its going to be perfect for my 6 week trip to Africa. I ordered the Tree Frog color hoping that the green wouldn't be so neon and bright, and I got my wish. The green is quite a bit darker than in the photo and is a really beautiful color. So far this is what I have fit in the bag using 1 large and 2 Medium of the E.C. Compression saks. Tent (7x21in - tent & fly), Thermarest Wms Prolite 3, small sleeping bag, mosquito net, pair of sandals, small toiletry bag, several long sleeve shirts, 2 skirts, 2 lightweight pants, a fleece jacket and a lightweight rain coat. This all fits inside with the compression sacks (which are a must). The day pack is going to carry my SLR camera equipment and other little misc. items. The shoulder harness is adjustable to several different torso lengths, the water bottle pouches will be convenient for more than water bottles, and the two bottom loop straps can easily hold a sleeping pad or similar item. I'm really excited to use this bag and think it's going to function very nicely for my trip.

I LOVE this bag. It is comfortable and not too big but big enough for all my crap. I love the separate shoe pocket, the zip-off daypack with the document and valuables storage in the back, the locking zippers, the multiple water bottle holders, and how comfortable it is (and I'm really short). I haven't used it very heavily yet but it seems sturdy. My one complaint is that it doesnt have a good place to attach a cable lock, which needs to be attached to both bags. When I am asleep on a sketchy train somewhere it makes me nervous that the cable lock is only through a strap thick, which could be cut with a little effort.
